Ginger Greene was raised on a cattle ranch, where her passion for horses began early in life. Growing up horseback and actively participating in 4-H, she developed a love for horse training that would evolve into a rewarding career. Ginger attended Lamar Community College, where she excelled on the Horse Judging Team and was recognized as the top female student in her class. She then pursued her education at Colorado State University, earning a degree in Animal Science while competing on the Women’s Rodeo Team, even qualifying for the College National Finals in 1990. Additionally, she held the title of Miss Rodeo Colorado in 1991. After graduation, she joined the faculty at Laramie County Community College, focusing on colt training classes and coaching both the Women’s Rodeo Team and the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association team. Later, she returned to CSU, where she taught various levels of western riding and continued her work in horse training while coaching IHSA and Women’s Rodeo. During her time at CSU, she also completed her Master’s Degree in Ag Extension Education. Upon moving back to her family ranch to assist with daily operations, she embarked on a 20-plus year career in the feed industry as an equine specialist for ADM Animal Nutrition. With a lifetime of experience in rodeo, Ginger is a gold card member of the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association and a long-time member of the Colorado Professional Rodeo Association and American Quarter Horse Association. She is excited about The LEAD Rope as a platform for community engagement, allowing her to share her extensive knowledge with those who share her passion for horses and horsemanship.

Danny May grew up in Illinois, where he spent his youth involved in horses. He attended Black Hawk College East, earning his AAS in Horse Science and being recognized as the Outstanding Horse Science Student in 1985. He was also a member of the Black Hawk AQHA World Show Champion Horse Judging Team. His journey in horse training took him to work with top rodeo stock contractors across various phases of the industry, including travels to Finland, Japan, and France. As a rodeo pick-up man for many years, he participated in the PRCA Prairie Circuit Finals in 1994 and 1996. This extensive experience, along with his time spent working on various ranches, provided him with the expertise to train and shoe horses for the public across all disciplines. One of his guiding principles is, 'these horses are not here to make us look good; we are here to help them,' showcasing his commitment to community engagement and honoring the horse. He also served as an instructor and Ranch Horse Team Coach at Laramie County Community College. Anyone who has ridden under his mentorship can attest to his vast knowledge, as well as the impactful 'Danny-isms' he shares along the way, contributing to the philosophy of The LEAD Rope in horse training.

Behind the camera and behind the scenes, Patricia (Pat) is the one helping keep the business side of The LEAD Rope running — coordinating the details, building partnerships, and organizing events that foster community engagement, all while helping turn the vision into reality. You’ll also find her at events and booths, visiting with horse people and recording on-the-spot conversations for the podcast. Raised in the ranching and horse world, she brings a lifetime of real-life experience, appreciation, and respect for horses and the people who love them. Her passion for Safe Simple Horsemanship comes not from textbooks, but from years spent living it and engaging with the community. One belief she lives by is: “No one will ever truly understand your love for that horse smell or the peace it brings to the soul.” Horse people understand it instantly — the familiar scent of sun-warmed horses, fresh hay, leather, dust, and the quiet calm that comes with simply being around them. For many equestrians, it’s more than a smell… it’s therapy for the soul. Through The LEAD Rope, Pat hopes to help riders, parents, and horse lovers build safer, stronger, and more meaningful relationships with their horses through effective horse training — one conversation at a time.
